Welcome to Gateway2Africa. The idea? To travel overland from London to Cape Town in a 23-year old Range Rover called Odin. In August 2004 Ben drove from London to Lagos with two friends, Rob and Steve, to meet Ch ristine in Nigeria before heading south. After a year in Lagos the journey continued, if only for some fresh air and less humidity d The trip from England to South Africa is finished, but check out the journal pages to see how we fared. It might serve as inspiration if you're looking to do something similar, and it will give you an idea of what to expect if you do the same.
